Alice's Shirt [Detailed, but delicate]

A quick update. I had sewn Alice's shirt together now. I used a simple pink cotton fabric, alongside some elastic band to keep the shirt from falling down. Since in any reference picture I have, Alice's shirt top isn't shown, I decided to make it act like a halter top.

I enlarged this picture so the detail could be seen better.

I created a paper pattern before sewing the shirt that wrapped all along by torso, so it was just actually one continuous piece of fabric that I used. I created the bottom of the shirt to replicate Alice's which looked kind of like a flower petal design. All of the holes near the bottom of the shirt I had to be a bit creative with. What was the best way to cut a hole in the fabric without cutting through any unnecessary parts? Well, I poked open the fabric with an x-acto knife to get a nice, clean cut, and then shaped each and every the hole in her shirt. This took a lot of time to do and finish, which actually stretched out across a couple of hours every few days until it was complete. I sealed up the raw fabric with an alcohol-based fray guard so the open holes won't come apart later. Then the runes embroidery I hand stitched with red thread; it took me three hours to finish it. Voila!
